MISNOMER DANCE THEATER’S PRESENTER PARTNERSHIP INITIATIVE
We here at Misnomer are thinking about the online space as much as our performance spaces. Many people have asked us: “What is this presenter partnership initiative going to look like?” In response, we’ve put this page together. Hopefully, this will answer some questions. This is an ongoing project, so feedback and comments are encouraged.
INTRO
Misnomer is proposing the following presenter partnership to help presenters gain more exposure while supporting the work of emerging and even successful artists. We have a vested interest in the overall state of the arts. We hope to help build audiences not only for Misnomer, but for the arts in general. With a presenter partnership, audiences, performers, and venues will all have an immersive, engaging, and satisfying experience in the development of the arts.
RATIONALE
Misnomer’s ongoing online audience initiative aims to produce updated content to distribute on our website & blog, as well as the presenter’s site. This new content will keep the site current and dynamic, while supporting Misnomer’s ongoing work. Misnomer provides a unique presence to the venue while adding value to presenter’s online website by helping presenters build audiences online (as well as offline).
DELIVERABLES
Since our blog already has an RSS feed, the content we produce before, during, & after the partnership can easily be featured on the presenter’s site. It’s simply a matter of pulling in the appropriate RSS feed, which we set up for you. Think of it like a podcast for the partnership. You simply pull in the content from our site into yours.
During the partnership, we will be producing at least 1 blog post 1 week in advance of the event.
We will also place a logo of the presenter on our site and blog so our readership can easily find information about other events the presenter is putting on.
During the entire partnership, we will produce at the least 3 posts with multimedia content (video, photos, or audio).
- 1 BEFORE the event
- 1 DURING the event
- 1 AFTER the event
For example, during workshops, we will be encouraging participants to engage and create content for our website. This content can be displayed on the presenter’s website as well.
Overall, we will be producing quite a bit of content and events. Our hope is to not only bring audiences to the venue during the event, but to keep people coming back long after the event is over.
By continually archiving and documenting content, we are not only filling seats; we are building out presenter’s websites with multimedia.
Below are two examples of the content we can share. These are elements we can place on your site. If you have a site that has these elements (a flickr badge, rss feed animation, or any other kind of badge), we can also include them on our site.
