Chris joined the panel entitled Developing Audiences: Consumption and Capital, which invesitgated opportunites and challenges for the arts in supporting intellectual capital and socioeconomic development as arts consumption evolves. Other speakers included Craig Hatkoff, founder of the Tribeca Film Festival, and Randall Bourscheidt, President of the Alliance for the Arts.

Misnomer performed their quartet entitled "Misnomer," which was the first piece ever choreographed by Elam for Misnomer, after which the company was named in 1998. Misnomer opened the program, followed by works of several hot downtown NYC dance company's on the closing night of this annual NYC dance festival.
